Our heroes, recently we are working on building our class turn-based game and we have been pitched to share with our community the question of “turn-based, how’s it fascinating”.
Let’s start with getting a few definitions on the table, so we can establish common ground like what is turn-based?
1. Turn-based Game definition
Turn-based Games mean the player can be “tactistic” in the world of the game in some way to make decisions as they desire.
2. Turn-based Game particularities
Often in turn-based games, players move through strategic phases, in which specific types of decisions are made in a pre-set sequence. The Game Producer encourages our players to make very focused decisions, and “min-max” their choice to be the best decision possible.
In turn-based games, everything is presented in units — sometimes as simple as “turns” or stages that promote critical hits. Players are empowered in their real-world recklessly to maximize game time.
It’s a little ironic that create a lie about how time works, but, that’s how a turn-based game is run.
3. Turn-based Game good points
By removing time pressure, turn-based games allow players to adjust their experience through failures to their own needs. Veterans can still play quickly, but new players can take their time poking around the interface and thinking through their moves.
Unlike a real-time game where the pressure will increase, the player cannot reduce each situation to a repeatable sequence of moves and counterattacks. Then for the turn-based game, players can analyze their opponents by themselves through fights and choose the right strategy for the next time. The core is you have just had fun in real-time experience and to take turns to play, learn, and earn.
